Obverse: Portrait of Habib Bourguiba at right (full name: Habib Ben Ali Bourguiba; 1903 – 2000) was a Tunisian statesman who became the country's first President of the Republic of Tunisia from 1957 to 1987. Industrial Company of Phosphoric Acid and Fertilizers of Sfax at left. Sfax is a city in Tunisia, located 270 km (170 mi) southeast of Tunis. The note denomination is indicated in arabic figures and letters.
Reverse: "The Triumph of Neptune" mosaic. Roman god of the sea carrying his trident and riding in chariot pulled by horses with dolphin tails. 2nd century AD mosaic from Sousse (Susah), Bardo National Museum, Tunis, Tunisia.
