Mexican Silver Bullion coin 5 Nuevos Pesos nominal value (1 Onza) - 1 Troy Ounce silver coin, Pre-Columbian - Central Veracruz Series "Anciano con Brasero" or "Elderly Man with Brazier" coin.

Design features small terra-cotta statue that was discovered at the Centro de las Mesas, a location in the state of Veracruz. It represents the God of Fire, an elderly man carrying a brazier (Anciano con brasero) on his head. It was sculptured with outstanding realism, showing the cultural bonds between the Totonaca and Teotihuacan civilizations by blending elements of both cultures. Precious metal content is 1 troy oz. of pure (999 fine) silver.

The Pre-Columbian Coin Program - was announce by the Banco de Mexico on July 28th, 1993 to coincide with the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus discovery of the Americas in 1492. This series of commemorative coins honors six Pre-Columbian civilizations: the Aztec, Central VeraCruz, Mayan, Olmec, Teotihuacan, and the Toltec cultures.
